GRETCHEN COPPEDGE

(English Language Fellow with Nepal  - Sept. 2008 - July 2010)

Gretchen Coppedge is the first English Language Fellow in Nepal. She is working with NELTA as a teacher trainer as well as teaching masters degree ELT students at Kathmandu University in the School of Education. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, Gretchen is strongly supported by the U.S. Embassy, Kathmandu.

Prior to coming to Nepal, Gretchen spent a number of years in Dubai working for the UAE Ministry of Education through the Higher Colleges of Technology at Dubai Women’s College. She has also taught in Latvia, Thailand and Albania, as well as the in the U.S.

She holds a BS in Education, an MAT in TESOL, MS in Interdisciplinary Studies, and her PhD studies were in Community College Administration with a focus on Intercultural Communication.
