Call for novice researchers

BELTA, MELTA and NELTA are embarking on a collaborative 6-month research and knowledge sharing initiative related to the following tracks:

• Teachers' survival strategies for continuing education during the pandemic

• The role of teacher educators during the pandemic: Moving from traditional to digital media

• The role of teacher associations during the pandemic:

Building collaborative networks and communities of practice NELTA calls its members (novice researchers) to apply who may be keen on being part of cross- border research teams examining one of the above-mentioned tracks. If you are interested, please send us a paragraph why you want to carry out this research (please specify your topic). Please send your paragraph at programco@nelta.org.np by 5 December 2021. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted further.

The Project

Successful applicants (one for each topic) will be part of a core research team made up of 3 members, each representing BELTA, MELTA and NELTA.

• Each team will be tasked with ensuring the following outputs:

a. A cross-border investigation on a focused topic related to the assigned track, with data collection and analysis not exceeding 3 months

b. A panel discussion (webinar) hosted in turn by MELTA/NELTA/BELTA before the end of the 6-month project

c. A paper for publication in a SCOPUS or ESCI indexed journal within 12 months

Note that there is no financial support for this project. Members will however receive appointment letters at the commencement and acknowledgements upon the successful completion of the project.
